What We Collect
BlueDot collects the minimum data necessary to provide the service:
- Email address — for license delivery and account management
- Device identifier — a one-way hash used only for license binding (we cannot identify your device)
- Payment information — processed securely by Stripe; we never see your card details
That's it. We don't collect analytics, telemetry, usage patterns, or any other data.
🔐 Cloud Credentials
BlueDot never accesses, stores, transmits, or touches your cloud provider credentials in any way.
BlueDot is a local CLI wrapper that delegates all cloud operations to the official CLI tools you've already authenticated:

Your credentials stay on your machine, managed by the official tools. We simply provide an intelligent interface on top.
Data Storage & Security
- License data stored on encrypted servers in the United States
- All connections secured with TLS 1.3
- Device binding uses cryptographic hashes (original data unrecoverable)
- No third-party analytics or tracking services
Your Rights (GDPR, CCPA)
You have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of your data
- Rectify — correct inaccurate data
- Delete — request deletion of your data
- Portability — receive your data in a standard format
- Object — opt out of processing for certain purposes

Data Retention
We retain your data only as long as necessary:
- Trial licenses: deleted after 30 days of expiration
- Perpetual licenses: retained for the duration of your license + 3 years for support
- You may request deletion at any time
